Executive Coaching

Executive coaching is all about developing executive and high-potential senior leaders in to more effective and happier leaders moving the leader through a process of self-awareness to self-determination. Within that structure the conversations are highly tailored to meet the specific challenges and needs of the executive or the high potential.

The needs of executives, high-potentials and their organisation will be met through customised programs covering usually a  6-11 months period.

Social and Emotional Intelligence

Unlike intelligence, social and emotional intelligence is something that every executive, every leader and every team member can learn. Using a proven 26 competency model, we integrate social & emotional intelligence in executive coaching, team building, or provide standalone training for individuals or groups.

We start with a social & emotional intelligence assessment followed by in-depth debriefing conversations to fast track learning, coaching or training.

Team Building

Teams are established to address issues, to develop new products or to deliver projects. Any new team or any changed team will go through the 5 stages of team development.  Team building facilitation is used to fast-track the team in to the performing stage. Simultaneously, we provide the team leader with the necessary tools and skills to support and to continue with developing his or her team.

Step

The first part is the most crucial one: the willingness or desire to make a change, the first step. The fact that you are looking at this page is already proof of an interest in change. Looking on the Internet is often part of your own process to evaluate and to identify options and ideas.

The next step is to use a systematic diagnostic tool to provide you with information as to which  direction you as a person or your organisation want or should go.

When performing diagnostics it is important not just to provide data but more importantly to create engagement, the foundation for the change process.  It is the conduct of the diagnostics that is important as well the communication, which establishes the foundation for the change, the reason, the why and the "what's in it for me?".

Change

After the diagnostics we know the reality of a person, a team, a project or an organisation and through  discussions we establish where a person, a team, a project or an organisation wants to be the target. To achieve the target an activity plan will guide us towards the target. The details of this activity plan will vary from person to person, from team to team and from organisation to organisation.

Transform

Many organisations discontinue their training after it has been provided, significantly reducing the effectiveness of the change program. One of the reasons is that a person returns from training full of enthusiasm but confronted with an environment that has not changed yet. The person finds it too hard and gives up.

Training provides a person with ideas of what they could or should do. However, safety leadership and leadership in general is a personal approach, in particular if we talk about inspirational and transformational leadership. One approach to leadership might work for one person but not for another. Leadership is fundamentally based on trust. If a leader just applies a learned technique without internal conviction a follower will see through it and feel that they can not trust the leader.

To truly transform a person, team or an organisation, it is crucial that every individual finds their individual way of making the learned knowledge part of who they are.

Through individual sessions a person will gain insight as to how they can convert the learnings into something that represents them. This support of individuals also provides the support required to spearhead the change and make the transformation stick. The following are just a few methods that can be applied.

Step Change Transform was founded by Uwe Krueger. Uwe is passionate about working with individuals and organisations to allow them to achieve the best they can be.

He works with individuals and teams who want to achieve exceptional results. For example, the young project manager who became a great project leader or the project team that build resilience to bring their project to a successful close.

With a career spanning over 25 years in various industry sectors working in a variety of senior leadership roles in the public and private sector, he has the background and experience required to be the catalyst for individuals, teams and organisations to become the best they can be and to have their best and most productive time.
